Title

Argon Whale Oil Lamps

Description

Set of Argon oil lamps. May be European. Side lamps are single burners. They have a collar supporting triangular prism which fits over the tank onto an upper rim. The base stands on four button feet. Gilded flower medallions on each of the pedestal sides.
The center two-arm lamp matches the side lamps closely but was not en suite. It has two horizontal burners with gilded enrichments running towards the burners from the central shaft. The base is three sided with similar gilded enrichments running up the shaft. The tank is urn shaped with elaborate finial. All mechanisms intact and original - never electrified. All four burners have blown, etched, cut glass shades with flower patterns. All surfaces appear original.
