Bookcase
Title
Bookcase
Description
Eastlake glass door bookcase with adjustable shelves. The base has two drawers with four original brass handles. The top case has two smaller drawers with one handle each, below each long door. The top of the doors and cornice have much more decoration than the lower case. The doors have oval top glass with basket weave carving on the wooden corner frame. A band of burl inlay outlines these rounded corners. Stylized side columns are burl veneered as is a band across the top cornice. Other top cornice elements include an unusual dental band and a roll on each side terminating in a carved medallion with a center button. Refinished in a medium color with a satin finish. Light wood interior of case.
