Mirror
Title
Mirror
Description
Round mirror with gilded frame. Deeply beveled original plate glass mirror. Acanthus leaves are intricately molded around the frame.
From Burke Hodgson:
"This large mirror was one of a pair of reflecting mirrors that sat in niches in each of the Lyndon House double parlors. The niches were surrounded by the same plaster molding used as crown molding. The frames are of gilded plaster with the pattern in the plaster matching the crown molding. My mother wanted to give this mirror to the Lyndon Foundation before she died."
