Sugar Jar

Description

Octagonal pagoda-form, covered jar, with "Flow Blue" transfer printing on a white ground. The cover and jar sides with images of Chinese-style European scenes. The inner and outer rim, and the base, with rococo-styled flower and thistle bands. The cover has a root-form knob. Acanthus-form handles. Chipped lid. Base is marked "T.J. & J. Mayer."
