Description
Late Federal-style, c. 1830, four-poster bed. This bed was made for John Cobb and was given to his son, Howell Cobb. As governor of Georgia, Howell Cobb took this bed with him to Milledgeville while in office.
This bed was said to have been made in Athens. It has reeded foot posts and a "rolling pin" headboard.
