Title

Coal Bin

Description

Black metal coal bin. The cast metal feet and handles are well molded and indicate that this piece was probably used in a parlor room or better bedroom. The bin has flower decals, typical of the later third of the 19th century.
Such coal bins were used in the Lyndon House after the installation of smaller coal grates.
